Auditions and casting calls for Southern Plains Productions, the Oklahoma City theatre company championing early-career artists and accessibility in the performing arts.



Southern Plains Productions was founded in Oklahoma City in 2020 with a vision for accessibility in the performing arts. As a non-profit theatre company, we’re committed to serving Oklahoma City with exceptional artistic productions, both musicals and plays, that enhance quality of life for our audiences and bring great credit to our craft. We strive to produce live theatre that sparks conversations and brings people together.

SEEKING: Southern Plains Productions is seeking non-union collegiate and early-career* musicians who have prior experience with one of the following instruments. We require all band members to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

  • Guitar 

  • Keyboard 

  • Electric Cello

  • Drums


*Southern Plains Productions defines early-career artists as those who have yet to be substantially celebrated in the theatre industry, the media, or the public at large.

NON-UNION COMPENSATION: $50 per call, $350 in total. 


HOW TO AUDITION: Please fill out an online audition form and submit a recent picture as well as an unlisted YouTube link containing one (1) video footage of you playing, about a minute. All auditions must be received by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11th, by 5pm CST.

LIZZIE DATES: First band rehearsal: August 13th, sitzprobe: August 16th, dress Rehearsal: August 17th,  Opening: August 18, End of contract: August 20.
